Competition?

BestWeb.lk 2012 is a unique and innovative competition organized by the LK Domain Registry. The competition which began in 2009 is in its third consecutive year. It’s a web-based competition which provides an opportunity to promote and popularize Sri Lankan .lk websites and showcase the Sri Lankan web identity. 

Who can enter this?

All public, private sector organizations and individuals, who have a local presence and possess a .lk website, are eligible to participate in the Best Sri Lankan website competition.

How does it work?

 Register your web site at www.bestweb.lk . 

Registration period will be 3 weeks starting from 10th July 2012

The final phase of the campaign is the judging and voting. Voting will take place for one week and judging for two weeks of Judging. General public can cast their votes through the website.

Winners will be selected according to a methodology as explained below. 

 Number of Votes 20%

Total Marks by Panel of Judges 70%

Web Traffic 10%

Each competitor will be given a score based on the number of votes received. The score will be calculated using a  non-linear algorithm.

Winners in each category will be decided by selecting the top 3 sites in each category scored according to the above Award criteria.

A separate judging panel will then select the three overall winners will by evaluating all the winners and merit award winners of each category.

Three special awards of Best website developer, Best Sinhala website and Best Tamil website
